Construction Loan Progress Inspections

Unlike PCA's and home inspections, construction loan progress inspections serve to verify new or rehab construction work completed to date along with an amount of money requested for payment. This in turn helps protect the vested interest of the owner and lending institution during the course of a building project in making sure that payments issued for work in progress do not exceed the actual cost of work in-place.

What's probably least understood in performing a construction loan progress inspection is that this often requires an in depth knowledge and understanding of building construction costs and estimating contingent upon the ability to read and decipher architectural as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings for verifying work in-place, in which area we also have many years of experience. As an added bonus, we will also let you know if we happen to come across any work in place that does not appear to conform to acceptable standard practice.
